1. Promotions in Telecom Cadre: We reminded about the promotions in Telecom Cadre which were kept on hold in December and requested to expedite the process. We emphasised that the sudden stoppage of promotions was an heartbreak for all the rank and file and the whole cadre is demotivated. We requested to complete the exercise including the restructuring immediately so that all the eligible executives can be covered for the long due promotions. Director HR assured that matter is under consideration and a positive result will definitely come and he is taking all efforts to get the process completed expeditiously. This will ensure promotions in Telecom Cadre including SDE to AGM, AGM to DGM and JTO to SDE.
2. Promotions in AO to CAO cadre: We discussed the outcome of the yesterday's hearing at Honorable High Court Chandigarh. Director HR assured that he has guided his team for readiness and there will not be any procedural delay but BSNL will have to wait for the Judgement in Black and White and based on directions of the court, next action shall be taken.
3. SDE to AGM LICE : It was informed that BSNL advocate has pursued for pronouncing the judgment on Monday also and it is expected that Judgement can be Pronounced this week. Association is following the issue closely and if the matter do not find its place in the cause list for Thursday and Friday, we will again push for mentioning before the Bench on Friday.
4. Opening of Deputation Window: It was informed that the freeze on the Deputation to outside organisations have been removed and necessary changes in the policy has been approved by the Management Committee. He also told that the request of AIGETOA to remove the CAP on the Deputation has also been agreed upon and now there will not be any Percentage Cap on the Deputation to outside organisations in all the grades and streams. All the pending applications shall be forwarded to the concerned organisations immediately. The opening of the deputation was another long pending issues and we are happy to note that CMD BSNL as well as Director HR has fulfilled another promise which was given to AIGETOA in the October 24 agenda meeting with CMD BSNL and thereafter the December 24 Agenda Meeting with Director HR and CMD BSNL. We extend our thanks and gratitude to CMD BSNL, Director HR and PGM Pers and we sincerely hope that in the same way, very soon positive outcome on the Promotions shall also be seen as assured to AIGETOA.
5. Increasing the TA/DA rates: Director HR told matter is under consideration and it will take some time to conclude the issue.
6. 147 issue: The issue is in active pursuance. AIGETOA has requested for an hearing before the committee members to present the facts and documents in support of the case. The same has been agreed upon by the Management and both the recognised associations shall be called for presenting their points before the committee.
